HOUSE OF MEMORIES
Inaugurou no dia 16 de agosto, em Space 4 Art ( projeto de Asmita Duranjaya, ChapTer
Kronfeld, Lilia Artis and Moeuhane Sandalwood), a exposição A CASA DAS LEMBRANÇAS.
Trata-se de uma exposição coletiva dos artistas Lilia Artis (alemã), Almut Brunswick (alemã), Haveit Neox (americano) e Moeuhane Sandalwood (suíço), que mergulham num tema profundo e bastante desafiador - Recordações Recentes e Distantes - e cada um deles, em diferentes setores do espaço chamado ARTWOOD, utilizam técnicas diversas para criar esta intrigante instalação ao longo da Ferrovia das Lembranças.

O trabalho de Almut aparece já na primeira
estação do trem - OPHATALMUS-, "antiga palavra grega para olho, que para a maioria das pessoas é o
princípio e o fundamento de suas memórias". TRILHAS DA VIDA é o trabalho
apresentado pela artista que participa desta exposição com o principal
propósito de iniciar a viagem e "conectar" as demais instalações. Na primeira parada do trem, Almut começa a viagem pela casa da família e para os mais atentos e de uma forma muito sagaz, explica que tais lembranças estão presentes mas não se pode trazê-las de volta.
Lilia com sua instalação O PASSADO NÃO É
PASSADO NÃO É PASSADO, fala sobre lembranças de momentos marcantes, que muitas
vezes aprisiona o presente e o futuro
das pessoas, e com sua "casa amarrada" nos questiona, dentre outras
coisas, se conseguiríamos ser livres apenas afrouxando alguns "nós",
trazendo-os a consciência, uma vez que não conseguimos nos livrar deles. A
artista, com muito charme e muita técnica, tanto na arte de criar objetos com
formas muito interessantes, quanto na aplicação das texturas, nos instiga a
esgueirar o olhar através da fenda da casa, afim de descobrir o que está
escondido ali.
Moeuhane, ou
simplesmente Moe, nos presenteia com a instalação A SOMBRA DE PESADELO
PASSADO, onde nos faz recordar de quando éramos pequeninos e nossa imaginação
nos pregava peças diante do desconhecido.
Mesmo depois de nos tornarmos adultos, e os tais
"pesadelos" forem desvendados, a emoção e o sentimento que
experimentamos na época, muitas vezes, jamais são esquecido. Servindo-se apenas de prims
(primitivas), esboços de desenhos, textos escritos à mão e alguma
interatividade, Moe nos proporciona uma imersão deliciosa nesta viagem de recordações
distantes.
Finalmente na última estação do trem encontraremos
Haveit, que apresenta uma festiva instalação, repleta de
personagens de histórias, borboletas e um cenário que buscou na distante
lembrança de sua infância, quando ainda brincava e criava no jardim de sua
casa. A excitação e alegria gerada por tais recordações, são visivelmente
compartilhadas pelo artista através das cores e texturas que utiliza, gerando,
nos visitantes, uma ânsia de pesquisar e explorar o espaço, para descobrir cada
detalhe da narrativa, de tal forma a se perderem no tempo.

The HOUSE OF MEMORIES Exhibit, is part of a big Art Project that belongs to Asmita Duranjaya, Chapter Kronfeld, Lilia Artis and Moeuhane Sandalwood - Space 4 ART - and was inaugurated August 16, 2013.
It is a collaborative work of artists Lilia Artis (German), Almut Brunswick (German), Haveit Neox (American) and Moeuhane Sandalwood (Swiss), pluging into a deep and very challenging topic - Recent and Distant Memories - and each of them, in different areas of the space called ARTWOOD, use several techniques to create this intriguing installation along the Memories Railroad.
TRACKS OF LIFE is the work presented by Almut. It combines the purpose of starting the journey and "connecting"other installations. Her work appears at the first train station: - OPHATHALMOS - in translation, this is the "ancient Greek word for eye, which for most people is the principle and foundation of memories". On the first train stop, Almut starts the trip in the family house and for the more attentive and in a sagacious way, explains that such memories are present but we can't bring that moment back.
Lilia, in her installation "PAST IS NOT PAST NOT PAST", talks about memories of moment that often imprison people' presents and futures. Her "tied house"asks us, among other things, if we could be freed just by loosening some "nodes", bringing them to consciousness, since we cannot get rid of them. The artist, with great charm and great technique both in the creation of her objects using very interesting shapes and in her use of superb texture applications, urges us to sneak a look through the "crack of the house" in order to discover what is hidden inside it.
Moeuhane, or simply Moe, presents us with the installation "THE SHADOW OF NIGHTMARE PAST", which reminds us of when we were little and our imagination was playing tricks on us while facing the unknown. Even after we became adults and such "nightmares"are unraveled, the excitement and the feelings that we experience at those times are often never forgotten. Serving up only prims (primitive shapes), line drawings, handwritten texts and some interactivity, Moe gives us a delicious glimpse back with a trip down memory lane to these misty moments of fear in our childhoods.
Finally, at the last train station, we find Haveit, who features the festive installation named "THE BACKYARD". This exhibit is full of storybook characters and butterflies and contains a scenario from his distant childhood when he played and created in his parents`s house. The excitement and joy of his memories are clear. He shares them vividly through the colors and textures he uses. Visitors are inspired to search and explore the space fully to find out every detail of the narrative, and in this way lose their sense of time and become once again immersed in their own childhood memories.
