Life e encontrar Don Quixote e seu fiel escudeiro Sancho Pança...sorria, você
encontrou Ub Yifu, o artista francês que há anos se dedica às esculturas em 3D.
Dom Quixote foi uma de suas primeiras esculturas , a qual utiliza como seu avatar até hoje,
tornando-se inconfundível dentre todos os outros avatares que circulam pelo SL.
A pintura era o hobby do artista até conhecer o metaverso, com o tempo foi trocando as tintas pela modelagem digital.
No início Monsieur Yifu utilizava as ferramentas disponibilizadas pelo SL para construir suas esculturas mas com a evolução da tecnologia descobriu que poderia utilizar programas de modelagem em 3D (existem vários no mercado por exemplo BLENDER, MAYA, 3D MAX e outros) para fazer as esculturas e trazê-las para o mundo virtual. Experimentou alguns deles mas se identificou com o MAYA, o qual utiliza até hoje.
Ub modela qualquer tipo de escultura, desde as mais clássicas conhecidas pela humanidade, como por exemplo a estátua de Ganímedes , príncipe de Tróia, na mitologia grega até personagens da modernidade como Elvis Presley e o presidente Obama, sem contar que passeia como muita graciosidade pela fantasia, o gigante Guliver preso em cordas e a Sereia Azul são alguns de seus trabalhos fantásticos.
A produção de trabalhos do artista é tão grande que teve que extrapolar os limites do Second Life indo para outros mundos virtuais como InWorldz and Open Sim. Seu acervo possui uma variedade enorme de esculturas sendo que ainda aceita trabalhar sob encomenda, ou seja, se alguém gostaria de ter uma escultura específica basta solicitar ao artista que entregará o pedido, inclusive em outros metaversos.
Ub Yifu está prometendo uma reforma completa de sua galeria - a SKY SCULPTURE GALLERY - tenho certeza que vem boas novidades para nós no Second Life.

If by chance you are strolling in Second Life's islands and see Don Quixote and his faithful squire Sancho Panza ... smile, you've met Ub Yifu, the French artist who has been dedicated to 3D sculptures for years. Don Quixote was one of his first works, which he uses as his own avatar even untill today making it impossible to confuse him with any other avatars that roam the SL.

But with technological evolution, he has been able to use 3D modeling programs (there are several on the market such as BLENDER, MAYA, 3D MAX and others) to make his sculptures and bring them into the virtual world. After experimenting with several of these programs, he settled on Maya.
Ub models all kind of sculpture, from the most classical ones known to mankind, such as the statue of Ganymede ( the Trojan prince in Greek mythology) to more modern characters such as Elvis Presley and President Obama, besides he deals with such graciousness with fantasy, Gulliver giant arrested in ropes, Blue Mermaid are some of those fantastic works.
The production of this artist is so large that he had to transcend Second Life's limits and spread into other virtual worlds as InWorldz and Open Sim. His collection contains a huge variety of sculptures. He even accepts commissions for customized pieces.
